古文“灋”之义是古人日常实践中价值选择的客观反映。“灋”的义项 是否意指“平”，须通过训话并依据古人生活实践提供的其他资料考察而获得。“法”字书写的结构经历了由 、 、 、 、 再到“法”的演变过程。“灋”字中 意指公平是直接因于水性。从“灋”的书写系统看，最早的声像应该是 后来“灋”的发音是由 声训而来。所谓“灋”不体现公平、正义的见解乃今人附会，与“灋”之本义无关。
英文摘要：
The meaning of the Chinese ancient character “灋” shows the choice of the value in the daily life of the ancient people. Lots of exegetical study on the referent materials of the ancient people's daily life should be done to make sure the in “灋” means justice. The writing of“法”has changed from 、 、 、 、 to“法”.Owing the character of the water , in “灋” means justice.If “灋” pronunciate as [fa], there is no pronunciation and meaning in“灋”. From the writing of “灋”，the original pronunciation and meaning is“启”，pronunciate as[di]. The pronunciation of “灋”is based on another character .
